This map shows the heart of man's ancient world - from the North Sea at the top down across what's now modern Turkey to the Inmost Sea (the Mediterranean). To the left are the lands of future Greece and Constantinople.
Adam's Village is a couple of days' walk east of that Sea and a long day west of the northern Euphrates River, on which the River Tribe sits. The Sun Tribe is on the coast to the south. Up the river to the northeast lies the field where the shameful attack took place, and the dots leading away eastward trace the escape route of Teller and his young companions - 'The Seven.' You can follow their long trek eastward toward the northern hills, then past East Lake and into the mountains (of modern Armenia), where lies the Garden of Eden.
The path of the rescue team is shown leading southwest to Mithra-Ko and the Temple. There's an actual ancient ruin there, of what looks like an attempt at a place of worship. To the southeast stretches the valley of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, flowing down to the Persian Gulf, where so many great prehistoric kingdoms rose and fell - Mesopotamia, from Babylon to Egypt.
